If you’ve been throwing spaghetti at the wall with your marketing and wondering what’s actually working these days… you’re not alone.
As a full-time entrepreneur and content strategist, I’ve been testing, tweaking, and refining my own content marketing strategy this quarter — and in this blog post, I’m breaking down the 5 things that are working best in my business right now to bring in clients.
These aren’t just trendy tips — they’re strategies that are generating real results, even with a full plate and limited hours.
1. Attending In-Person Events
There’s nothing like building real relationships face-to-face. I’ve been intentional about showing up in rooms where my ideal clients are, and it’s led directly to discovery calls and new bookings. Whether you attend or host your own, in-person events are a powerful way to attract clients and grow your brand.
2. Running Paid Ads (on a Budget)
Yes, paid ads work — even if you’re not spending thousands. I’m currently running ads at just $15/day and seeing a consistent stream of leads and conversions. The key is having the right setup and a clear strategy to follow up with those leads.
3. Email Marketing Still Wins
If you’re not leveraging email marketing for entrepreneurs, you’re leaving money on the table. My welcome sequences and weekly emails do the heavy lifting, nurturing leads and keeping my services top of mind — even when I’m offline.
4. SEO and Google Reviews
Want to show up when people Google services like yours? Then optimizing your website for SEO is non-negotiable. I’ve been updating blog posts, refreshing my homepage keywords, and collecting client reviews to boost my visibility in search results.
5. Referrals That Pay Off
Referrals are still gold. I’ve implemented a simple referral payout system that rewards past clients for spreading the word — and it’s led to some of my easiest and best-fit bookings this year.
If you’re tired of guessing what to post or where to show up, focus on these 5 areas first. You don’t need to do everything at once — just pick one or two and go all in.
